The Cohort Structure:

  • A Small Cohort Community - 6-8 folks all working on launching their own businesses. Some may be just going from idea to first action, some folks may already be in business but everyone is committed to taking action to see if their business is viable. The cohort is intentionally small so I can go deep with you. The small size will also allow you to get to know each other intimately and support each other in this often lonely journey.
  • Weekly Cohort Gatherings - 2 hour weekly sessions that are the core experience of the cohort. The expectation is that everyone shows up, though they will be recorded for reference. This is where the core curriculum and weekly tasks will be presented and discussed, as well as an opportunity to tackle emergent topics.
  • Unlimited Coaching Access - You have unlimited access to Christine for coaching via email and zoom calls. Text access for time-sensitive issues and emergencies. We can set up recurring daily/weekly coaching calls at points when that is helpful.
  • Co-Working - We will set up co-working spaces to help make sure that we're doing the things we said we needed to do. We'll also at points set up virtual writing retreats or other co-working structures as needed.

The idea is that you have access to a coach/mentor/teacher to support on the content of your business (what are the offerings, how do you design and deliver them, who are your client and where do you find them) and structure of the business (legal, finance) as well as ways of working (time management, prioritization, systems) and the emotional rollercoaster of being an entrepreneur (fear, impostor syndrome, perfectionism).

All in a container that provides you with external accountability to do the things you may not always want to do.

The Commitment:

This is designed as an 18 month experience. In my experience, that's realistically how long it takes to get something up and running and bringing in a salary you can live on.  Naturally, we can stop working together at any point, but I think it's important to go into it with a clear intention - and mine is to see you and the business through to baseline sustainability.

The Cost:

There are two components to the cost of the cohort. First is a monthly fee of $425 - that's about $100 a week, which I really think about covering the weekly cohort meetings and content. The second is 18% of any revenue generated while we work together, due to the work we're doing together. This how I think about getting compensated for the unlimited coaching and support in building your business. This compensation structure means we both have skin in the game, and I only really get compensated for my investment if you do well, and you only pay me after you've made some money. (AND this will require you to raise your prices at least %18 lol)

This cohort is for you if:

--> you're looking for some stability and control, and it no longer feels like traditional employment can provide that for you

--> you are rethinking what a good life looks like, and you know what you're doing for work right now isn't it, but you aren't sure what else is possible

--> you've been thinking or even dreaming of doing your own thing, but don't even know where to start

--> you've taken the leap and gone on your own, and it's not quite going how you hoped

--> you've been in startup or entrepreneurship spaces - reading books and blogs, listening to podcasts, maybe taking some classes - but something just doesn't sit right about what they're telling you to do

--> part of why you want to go out on your own is to work less, not more, and you're afraid that isn't possible on your own

--> you want to do work that is focused on equity, justice and liberation and aren't sure how to do that and also pay your rent

--> you know there must be a better way to do things, but you don't always know what that is or where to find support

There are no silver bullets, no hacks, no easy buttons, no one-and-done solutions . . . but most of the mainstream entrepreneurship best practice and conventional wisdom DID NOT work for us. It took us a lot of time, money and energy to test things out, find aligned experts and build a way of doing business that felt like it was truly values aligned. We want to keep sharing that with you!

The cohort curriculum and coaching is based on Christine's almost 30 years of entrepreneurship experience spanning 4 different industries, working to create a just business.
